Estagel

The village and the station

Accessibility to the station

Estagel is located in the Roussillon plain, about 25 kilometers northwest of Perpignan, the main city in the region. The town is surrounded by vineyards and benefits from a pleasant natural setting.

Estagel is renowned for its vineyards and its wine production. The commune is located in the heart of the Côtes du Roussillon wine region and is known for its quality wines. It is possible to visit wine estates and taste local wines.

It has an interesting historical heritage. Notable sites include the 11th-century Saint-Étienne Church and Estagel Castle, an ancient medieval fortress that overlooks the village.​

 

Access: Estagel is accessible by road, notably by taking the A9 motorway which crosses the region. The town is also served by local bus lines.

The station platform has been adapted for people with mobility difficulties and people with disabilities.​
