Maury

The village and the station

Accessibility to the station

Maury is located in the Roussillon plain, about 30 kilometers northwest of Perpignan, the main city of the region. The village is surrounded by vineyards and is located close to the Corbières mountains.

Maury is famous for its natural sweet wines, notably the AOC Maury natural sweet wine. The town is located in the heart of the wine region of the same name and is home to numerous wine estates where you can taste these famous wines.

It has a rich historical heritage. The village is notably home to the Sainte-Marie church, a church dating from the 14th century, as well as remains of the medieval ramparts. There is also the Château de Quéribus, a medieval fortress located nearby, which is worth a visit.

Access: Maury is accessible by road, notably by taking the A9 motorway which crosses the region. The town is also served by local bus lines.

​
